About Me
I have always had a passion for understanding how we use our mind and its effect on our behaviour, health and wellbeing.
I was first introduced to NLP whilst studying psychology and graduated in 1994 with a BA (Hons) degree.
Throughout my life I had suffered from insomnia and following a course in NLP and using hypnotherapy I was finally able to overcome this, which led to a deepening interest in how we can use our unconscious mind to overcome obstacles in our lives.
Subsequently, I qualified as a Certified Practitioner of NLP with the American Board of NLP and joined the Association of NLP. Following on from this I became a Licensed Master Practitioner of NLP having trained with Dr Richard Bandler, one of the co-founders of NLP. In order to add value to the treatments I offer, I also qualified as a Certified Hypnotherapist (to Masters level), and since have gained an Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy and I am a validated practitioner with the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. I am also an accredited Personal Performance Life Coach having trained with The Coaching Academy - the UK and Europe's largest training organisation for coaches. I specialise in supporting people to increase confidence and self-esteem and working with young people.
I now use a combination of coaching, NLP and hypnotherapy as a powerful way of helping people achieve their goals and reach their potential, leaving them to get on with their lives feeling more confident and empowered.
I especially enjoy working with young people, particularly helping with confidence and worries about exams. I hold an “Enhanced Disclosure CRB”.
I am kept up to date in my field by regularly attending workshops and seminars.
I have full insurance and adhere to the professional codes of conduct of the GHR, ANLP and The Coaching Academy.
